How to Submit Your Recorded Presentation Using OneDrive
Related Information
Why Use OneDrive?
- Video files usually end up being pretty big.
- Blackboard is fussy about accepting big files.
- As a result, we’ll be using OneDrive for any recorded presentations.
I have a created a link on OneDrive (see below under “Uploading the File”) where you will submit your file. Before you submit your file, read the instructions carefully.
Instructions
- Before Uploading:
- Locate the file — PowerPoint or MP4 video — on your computer that you need to upload. (If it’s a PowerPoint file, make sure it incudes your recorded audio. See “How to Record Your Presentation Using PowerPoint” for instructions.)
- Right-click on the file and select 'Rename'.
- File Naming Convention:
- Rename the file following this format:
[CourseNumber]_[LastName]_[FirstName]_[AssignmentName]
. For example, if John Doe is submitting a presentation for ENGL 490, the file name should be ENGL490_Doe_John_Presentation
.
- Ensure there are no spaces in the file name. Use underscores —
No_Spaces_Just_Underscores
— to separate different parts of the name.
- Checking File Format:
- Make sure the file is in the correct format (e.g., .pptx for PowerPoint, .mp4 for video).
- Uploading the File:
- Confirmation:
- Once the file is uploaded, ensure that it appears in the OneDrive folder with the correct name.
- You may not see other students' files due to privacy settings, but you should see your own.
- Notifying Your Instructor (optional)
- After uploading, you may send an email to let me know that you have submitted your file, if you would like further confirmation. However, you are not required to do so.
