Transitions, part 2: Draft Résumés
The Assignment
After researching careers in the "Transition, part 1," assignment, draft at least 2 different résumés and submit them on Blackboard. This step is essential because it helps you apply the knowledge gained from career research to create tailored résumés that align with your chosen fields. Keep in mind that it's useful to have more than one version of your résumé if you are interested in pursuing more than one kind of job.
- Create 2 résumés that highlight your skills, experiences, and achievements. Use a clean and professional format. Follow the advice shared by our guest speaker.
- Include sections such as contact information, objective or summary statement, education, work experience, skills, and relevant certifications or awards.
- Tailor your résumé to a specific job or field by emphasizing experiences and skills that are relevant to that specific job or field.
- Use real information from your own experience. This is not an assignment asking you to make things up.
- Please read all instructions carefully.
